What We Believe In

Promoting the welfare of children and youth in home, school, places of worship, and throughout the community;

Raising the standards of home life;

Advocating for laws that further the education, physical and mental health, welfare, and safety of children and youth;

Promoting the collaboration and engagement of families and educators in the education of children and youth;

Engaging the public in united efforts to secure the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social well-being of all children and youth; and

Advocating for fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars in public education funding.
Why We Fundraise
It’s a fact—children learn and grow better when their families and communities are engaged in their academic, social and emotional lives. Sunnyvale PTA offers all parents and caregivers the opportunity to be engaged in developing their child's potential. Being a member of the PTA means that you are part of a powerful association and action plan that is focused on programs and initiatives that strengthen your child's education and the family-school partnership.
We raise money and strive to increase membership to help grow these programs and initiatives that transforms our four schools into gathering places that support and include the entire community.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
SPECIAL EVENTS
Holiday Bazaar, Father Daughter Dance, Mother Son Dance, Raider Run, Kona Ice, Special Olympics, Popsicle Events and more... We host dozens of events for parents and students throughout the year and volunteer/fund various campus activities as well.
TEACHER SUPPORT
We provide every teacher with at least one room parent to help with classroom needs. We put on teacher appreciation events & provide lunches, stock the lounge with snacks, and give teacher gifts throughout the year. We strive to ensure that our teachers have the resources they need!
EDUCATIONAL ENHANCEMENT
We fund the educational programs each year for the arts such as literacy night, provide STEM night supplies, support Red Ribbon Week, Reflections Art Program, and various assemblies for each campus.
Community involvement
Most PTA events are open to all Sunnyvale Residents. We regularly reach out to our community to encourage all to get involved in SISD events and engage with our student and teachers.
